terms and conditions
The most important is that we match up the right pet with the right person/family.
We know, adopting a pet when you have children can seem daunting. So please take it from us: adopting a dog or cat is every bit as safe (and we think even safer) than buying a puppy or a kitten.
As a general rule:
-All pets must be neutered and vaccinated.-If you adopt a puppy/kitten from us, then you must agree to have them neutered at 6 month at your own expense.
-Those renting need to provide a letter from the landlord or a copy of their rental contract that states pets are allowed.
-We would never consider re-homing a rescue dog to a home that breeds.
-It is a condition of adoption that our rescue dogs must live as part of the family and should not be left outdoors on a permanent basis.-Dogs should generally not be left alone for more than 4 hours and puppies need to be in a home where they are not left for more than two hours.
These are all guidelines and if there are some exceptional homes that don’t tick all the boxes we will consider them on an individual basis.
WHY WE DO HOME CHECKS?
We do home checks to make sure that the dog/cat you wish to adopt is the right one for you. It’s about the individual dog or cat’s personality and the chemistry you feel together (yep, we have chemistry with animals just like we do with other humans!).
Once you have sent back to us the filled in the homing form, we then sort out a time that is best for you to have one of our home checkers pop round to see you for a chat. Home checks are done worldwide and are a case of necessity for the safety of the animal and for you and your family.
Please feel free to get in touch with us if you would like more information regarding adopting a pet.
Before an animal leaves to be homed with a new adopter, we make sure that they have been:
- Wormed
- Treated for fleas and ticks
- Tested for leish and parvo
- Vaccinated against, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, para influenza and leptospirosis
- Chip implant
- Rabies vaccination
- Passport
- Neutered/steralised ( 6months+)
So to be able to pay for this treatment and everything else that is needed to be able to care for our Animals, we ask potential adopters for an Adoption fee
Dogs/Puppies — 150 Euros
Cats — 80 Euros
Kittens — 40 Euros
With certain circumstances the adoption fee can be negotiable
Adopters are required to pay the transport costs for their dog/cat travelling outside of Spain
Please get in touch with us if you would like more information on this subject
